📚☀️ Osage Hills School Summer Reading Challenge ☀️📚
Keep those reading skills growing all summer long! Students have already received paper copies of our summer reading lists and challenge information to take home. Our recommended titles come from the American Library Association and Battle of the Books reading lists, giving students plenty of great books to explore this summer.
K- 2nd Reading List
3rd- 5th Grades Reading List
6th- 8th Reading List
Students that read at least 6 books from the provided book lists and record them on the reading logs that were sent home will be entered into a drawing for a Kindle. Completed reading logs should be returned to Mrs. Garson in August when school starts.

📚 Bartlesville Public Library Summer Reading Program
The Bartlesville Public Library is also offering a fun summer reading program with special events and activities throughout the summer. Be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity to keep students reading and engaged all summer long! Information here.
🍕 Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program
Students can earn rewards for reading through the BOOK IT! summer program. Learn more here.
📖 Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
Kids in grades 1–6 can earn a FREE book by completing the Barnes & Noble summer reading journal. Details can be found here.

3rd-8th grade students had the privilege of visiting The Wall that Heals Veterans Memorial today. They learned about the war from Vietnam veterans and took away a new appreciation for the men and women who fight for our country.

Osage Hills Warriors participated in the cardboard Boat Regatta today. One team brought home the paddle as the overall winners. Good job boys!

Lots of updates today! We celebrated the end of math testing with yoga and goat-petting. The kids worked hard this week and deserved some stress relief. Special thanks to Mrs. Sanders and Ms. Mika for their help. English Language Arts testing starts next Tuesday!

World Book Day is all about celebrating a love of reading, sharing stories, and helping every child discover the joy of books.
Today we took our reading outside with a fun story walk around the playground. The children followed the adventure of a dragon who blows rainbow bubbles to clean everything in sight! 🐉🌈
At each sign, they put the story into action—lots of imagination, movement, and smiles along the way.

A HUGE shoutout to Scouting America’s Explorer Program for bringing the drone program to Osage Hills! 🚁
Our students didn’t just learn about drones they built them, tested them, and turned the gym into a full blown airspace. 😄 The ceiling tiles got a front-row seat to innovation and gravity still won a few rounds.
At one point, a couple of drones synced to the wrong controllers and took off like they had somewhere to be 😂
We’re incredibly grateful for partnerships that open doors and give our students the chance to explore, create, and succeed. Thank you to Cherokee Area Council Scouting America for making such a meaningful and high-flying impact at Osage Hills!
